Remembering Danny Ward 1945 - March 28, 2018

We would like to acknowledge the passing of Danny Ward, world renowned Blacksmith & Farrier. He owned and operated the Eastern School of Farriery in Martinsville, Virginia, more commonly known as Danny Ward Horseshoeing School. Hundreds of farriers received their start in the trade with him.

We knew him as BWFA Master Farrier, Master Educator and a 1994 BWFA Hall of Fame Inductee. We had the privilege of meeting and working with Danny in several conventions (in the ole days)

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Committees and School Owners, everyone here enjoyed meeting and working with him back in the 90’s. He will be sorely missed by all who met and knew him. Our condolences certainly go out to his family.
