From the time I became President of this association

I have probably been criticized more than any other farrier

in history. What keeps me going are the praises I also receive.

I am always looking for new ways and new things to

promote the farrier...page 2

Why Should I Join or Renew My Membership

in the BWFA? by Kelly Case

Through the BWFA I have gained access to an unlimited data base of knowledge, not just about shoeing but about running a profitable, professional business. I joined the BWFA at the start of the licensing and registration movement because the BWFA was the first and only organization to say "NO, you will not regulate or control my trade!"......  page 3

More Regulations? by Marcus J. Pierce

We can all be thankful that people like Ralph Casey fought hard to help keep the Government from taking over the Farriers with laws and regulations. A couple of years ago a few misguided farriers tried to get the government to take over our trade which would make us just like Great Britain and Germany. Well, we all can be glad they have failed so far.... page 3

Documenting Your Work by Wayne Blevins

some of the tools for good documentation are: the digital video camera, digital single shot camera, radiographs, computer and last , but certainly not least, a trained eye... "it looks to me as if most of the new products being offered  are a result of documentation by working farriers, developed in the field, rather than laboratory experiments as in other industry"...page 10
